Sales Account Executive

Position Summary

Telnovo Communications is seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Account Executive to grow our customer base in the business telecommunications space. You will own the full sales cycle — from prospecting to close — targeting SMB and mid-market accounts. This role is central to Telnovo's revenue growth and market expansion strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, and networking events.

• Manage and advance a pipeline of opportunities from initial contact through signed contract.

• Conduct discovery calls and product demonstrations tailored to prospect pain points.

• Collaborate with Pre-Sales Engineers to build compelling technical proposals and solutions.

• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms within defined company guidelines.

• Maintain accurate CRM records (opportunity stage, activity logs, forecasts) on a daily basis.

• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue quotas.

• Build long-term relationships with clients, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions to represent Telnovo.

• Provide market intelligence feedback to the product and marketing teams.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in telecommunications, SaaS, or technology.

• Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding quota.

• Strong understanding of business communication solutions (VoIP, UCaaS, SIP trunking is a plus).

• Experience managing a full sales cycle, including negotiation and closing.

• Proficiency with CRM tools (ZohoCRM, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling cloud communication platforms (UCaaS, CCaaS).

• Existing relationships within target industries (hospitality, healthcare, financial services).

• Familiarity with solution-based or consultative selling methodologies (SPIN, MEDDIC, Challenger).

Pre-Sales Engineer (Solutions Engineer)

Position Summary

The Pre-Sales Engineer is a technical expert and trusted advisor who partners with the Sales team throughout the sales cycle. You will understand client technical requirements, design tailored telecommunications solutions, and deliver compelling demonstrations that win business. This role bridges the gap between customer needs and Telnovo's product portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities and understand customer technical environments.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to gather requirements around voice, data, connectivity, and unified communications.
  • Design and present customised telecommunications solutions aligned to client needs.
  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations, proof-of-concept (POC) environments, and technical presentations.
  • Respond to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and technical questionnaires.
  • Prepare detailed technical proposals, network diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Address technical objections during the sales process and guide prospects through solution validation.
  • Collaborate with the post-sales team to ensure smooth handover and onboarding.
  • Provide product feedback and competitive intelligence to the product management team.
  • Stay current on telecom technologies, industry trends, and competitor offerings.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role.
  • Strong knowledge of VoIP, SIP, UCaaS, CCaaS, SD-WAN, or related telecom technologies.
  • Ability to read, understand, and design network architectures and call flow diagrams.
  • Experience with platforms such as Cisco, Avaya, Genesys, 3CX, Asterisk, or similar.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills — ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with RFP/RFI response processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications: CCNA, CCNP Voice, CompTIA Network+, AWS/Azure cloud certifications.
  • Experience with cloud telephony platforms and APIs (e.g., Twilio, Vonage, Amazon Connect).
  • Knowledge of CRM and CPQ tools.

Technical Support Specialist

Position Summary

The Technical Support Specialist is the frontline expert responsible for resolving technical issues experienced by Telnovo's customers. You will troubleshoot voice, connectivity, and platform-related problems, ensuring fast resolution times and a high-quality customer experience. This role requires a combination of deep technical knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound technical support requests via phone, email, and ticket system.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to VoIP services, SIP trunks, hosted PBX, IP phones, and internet connectivity.
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 engineering teams with clear, documented troubleshooting steps.
  • Document all interactions, resolutions, and workarounds accurately in the CRM/ticketing system.
  • Conduct remote desktop and network diagnostics using tools such as Wireshark, ping, traceroute, and web portals.
  • Coordinate with carrier partners and vendors for line provisioning, porting, and fault resolution.
  • Proactively communicate with customers on open tickets, setting and meeting resolution timelines.
  • Contribute to the internal knowledge base and FAQ documentation.
  • Participate in shift rotations that may include evenings or weekends (on a fair schedule rotation).
  • Identify recurring issue patterns and report to the engineering team for systemic resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of technical support experience in a telecom, ISP, or IT environment.
  • Working knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP), IP networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT), and QoS.
  • Experience with PBX platforms (hosted or on-premise) and IP phone configuration.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (Zendesk, ServiceNow, Freshdesk, or similar).
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools: Wireshark, packet captures, ping, traceroute.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Associate's degree or technical diploma in IT, Networking, or Telecommunications (or equivalent hands-on experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with Cisco, Yealink, Polycom, or Grandstream devices.
  • Knowledge of SIP ALG, firewall configuration, and VPN in the context of VoIP.
